Yayasan was established based on FIVE objectives:
Religion
Provides financial aid or scholarship for religious education purposes for the subjects of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam according to the terms and qualifications which may be stipulated by Yayasan from time to time.
Provides financial support to individual or non-governmental organisations or bodies to carry out Islamic propagations or teachings as recognized by the government provided that the individuals or organizations have obtained the government approval prior to their movement, and such movement shall be of benefit within Negara Brunei Darussalam only.
Provides aids for the construction, management and maintenance of religious schools and mosques run by any individual or non-government organizations or bodies on the condition that it has obtained the government´s approval.
Welfare
Enhance the standard of living and well-being of His Majesty´s subjects by providing schemes of support for the less fortunate such as the poor, handicapped people etc. and natural disaster relief;
Enhance the involvement and participation of youth in community development by providing a scheme for the youth who needs skill training and gives support to voluntary organisations recognized by the government.
Foster and nurture the spirit of excellence in socio cultural and socio economic field among the subjects of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam by organizing competitions and giving awards in the field of literature and culture.
Gives support to patients who are not eligible under the government support scheme.
Education
Provides scholarship to students who need support in form of school fees, books, project materials, school uniform, transportation, examination fees and allowances according to conditions and qualifications which may be stipulated by the Foundation from time to time;
Provides support on research and development carried out by higher education institutions in the interest of scientific, technological and social development.
Pembangunan
Participates in developmental activities other than those held by the government.
Finance
Participates in any commercial and industrial activities in line with the principles and objectives of the Foundation;
Purchase, secure or otherwise procure any stocks and investment;
Establish from time to time, companies or corporations to operate or manage any projects, schemes or businesses.
