Yayasan’s Donation to Fire Victims

One of the aims of the establishment of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s in the field of welfare is to assist the unfortunate ones such as those affected by natural disasters including fires.
On Wednesday, 11 Safar 1431H corresponding to 27 January 2010, Yayasan and the Department of the Community Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports held a donation presentation ceremony for the fire victims at the home of Penghulu Mukim Peramu, Pengarah Awang Haji Ismit bin Pengarah Mukim Haji Naim.
Yayasan presented donations totalling B$3,300.00 to 3 families comprising of 13 family members that were affected by the fires in Kampong Bakut Pg Siraja Muda ‘B’, Brunei Muara District.
The fire victims receiving the donations were as follow:
Haji Kula bin Haji Majair
Awang Ma’arof bin Chee
Hajah Fadzillah binti Ma’arof
On hand to present the donations was Dato Paduka Haji Ali Hashim bin Haji Daud, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. Presenting the donations to the fire victims on behalf of the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was Dayang Hajah Misnah binti Haji Bolhassan, Acting Director of Community Development.
Also present were the government officers along with the recipients.
