Yayasan´s Donation to Fire Victims

One of the aims of the establishment of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah´s in the field of welfare is to assist the unfortunate ones such as those affected by natural disasters including fires.
On Thursday, 8 Zulhijjah 1430H corresponding to 26 November 2009, Yayasan and the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports held a donation presentation ceremony at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Headquarters in Jalan Kumbang Pasang for the fire victims.
Yayasan presented donations totalling B$9,600.00 to 11 families comprising of 32 family members that were affected by the fires in Kampong Ujong Tanjong, Brunei Muara District.
The head of the families receiving the donations from the Yayasan were:

- Dayang Siti Zainah binti Ahmad
- Mohd Sallehen bin Muhaddin
- Dayang Maimunah binti Haji Metussin
- Dayang Khatijah binti Awang Besar
- Awang Ibnu Khalid bin Awang Besar
- Dayang Hasimah binti Awang Besar
- Awang Malek bin Awang Besar
- Awang Abd Kadir bin Haji Mat Yassin
On hand to present the donations was Dato Paduka Haji Ali Hashim bin Haji Daud, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. Presenting the donations to the fire victims on behalf of the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was the Director of Community Development, Datin Hajah Adina binti Othman.
Also present were the officers of Yayasan and the government officers along with the recipents.
